For high season (April–June and September–November) please reach out at least 8–10 weeks ahead; balloon mornings close out months in advance. Weddings and destination work need a 3–6 month window to plan properly. In low season (January–March) two or three weeks is usually enough. If your date is flexible, write anyway; I can show the open windows in my calendar and we can choose the right light together.

If we shoot inside the balloon, yes: you'll need a flight ticket and I need a civil aviation permit for commercial shooting. I handle that whole process, including the operator agreement and permit paperwork. But the classic "balloon morning" sessions are usually shot from the ground: the ridges of Red Valley, Love Valley, or the terrace of a cave hotel. No extra ticket there; the balloons launch between 5:20 and 5:40, and we frame them as they rise.

Cappadocia's colour comes from stone and sand: tones close to skin (sand, ivory, burgundy, olive, copper) sit naturally in the frame. For a moving sunrise, a long flowing dress; for a valley walk, comfortable layers. I avoid pure white and pure black because they split the light. If you like, we help with outfit choices and visual preparation, and a moodboard can be prepared depending on your needs; arriving with a small, considered selection keeps you relaxed through the whole shoot.

Yes: I work with two trusted artists in Göreme and Ürgüp, and I pass on their contact details after you book. Pricing usually sits between €120 and €200, and they prep you in your hotel room on the morning of the shoot so we don't lose sunrise time on the ground. Their English is strong. If you'd rather bring your own stylist, that's also fine; if a moodboard has been prepared I can share it with them directly so the tone stays consistent.

In Cappadocia balloon flights are cleared the night before, around 20:00 local; if wind or visibility cancels them, I let you know. A cancelled balloon flight does not necessarily mean the shoot is cancelled; we can continue without balloons. If the cancellation is known the day before and the shoot has not started, the date can be changed free of charge, subject to calendar availability; if the requested date is not available, another date is considered, and if no common date is found the payment, deposit included, is refunded in full. If the balloons are cancelled on the morning of the shoot, after we have finished our preparations and arrived ready, there is no right to free cancellation or postponement; the shoot can continue, and postponing to another day requires an additional fee. For rain or snow we move into the cave hotels, the back streets of Göreme and the sheltered pockets of the valley. Honestly, some of the best frames come out of that soft grey light.

The two closest airports are Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV) and Kayseri Erkilet (ASR). Nevşehir is about 40 minutes from Göreme; Kayseri around 75. From Istanbul both have several direct flights a day. I can recommend an airport shuttle if you need one; once you're in Göreme, you can walk almost everywhere. On the shoot day I handle transport: I pick you up from your cave hotel and we drive to the location together.

Where you stay is half the shoot. The choice of hotel is yours; we plan the shooting window and route around the hotel you've chosen, and a short moodboard can be prepared for visual planning if you would like one.

Yes, we plan it around the project. Requests for shoots, weddings and events abroad can be planned once the scope, the calendar and the travel conditions have been assessed. Photography, camera video, drone, crew and other services are set per project; whatever the size of the event, the quote is prepared around the services you want. I have both travel and professional shooting experience in Bali, Kyrgyzstan and Singapore; I went to Kyrgyzstan specifically for a client shoot. I also shoot in Turkey. Accommodation, travel and other conditions are settled together when preparing your quote.

Every photograph taken during the shoot is shared with you as unedited JPEG; you then choose the photographs to be edited. The number of edited photographs depends on your package and is stated in your quote. For photographs, the standard delivery format is JPEG; RAW files are normally not delivered, but can be if this is discussed and agreed before the shoot. Where and how the images will be used is discussed and settled together according to your project's needs. We share your images on our website, in our portfolio or on our social media only with your permission; if you prefer no sharing, we do not share, and we respect specific preferences such as permission only for frames where your face is not visible.

For photographs, our standard delivery format is JPEG. We share every photograph taken during the shoot as unedited JPEG. RAW files are normally not delivered, but they can be if this is discussed before the shoot and agreed. Unedited JPEG and RAW are different file types.

Delivery follows three separate timelines. Every photograph taken during the shoot is shared with you as unedited JPEG, on the day of the shoot if possible, otherwise by the evening of the next day. You choose the photographs to be edited; the one-month editing period starts on the date you tell us your selection, and edited photographs are delivered no later than one month after that date, and sooner depending on workload. Videos are delivered no later than one month after the shoot date and may be finished earlier. The number of edited photographs and the scope depend on your package; we settle them when preparing your quote.

We take a deposit when a reservation is confirmed; the amount is not fixed and is agreed together. The process starts when you send a request; we assess availability and scope, and the fee and terms are settled after a personalised quote and mutual agreement. No online payment is taken through the site. The deposit is taken to reserve the date and time of your shoot for you and to avoid accepting another booking for the same time slot. If you cancel the reservation of your own accord, the deposit is not refunded: we have turned away other requests for the time we held, and the cancellation leaves that slot unused. We share this openly so the calendar works fairly for you and for other guests. Date changes are coordinated together based on calendar availability. A separate condition applies to balloon cancellations: if the cancellation is known the day before and the shoot has not started, the date can be changed free of charge, and if no common date is found the payment, deposit included, is refunded in full. If the balloons are cancelled on the morning of the shoot, after we have finished our preparations and arrived ready to shoot, there is no right to free cancellation or free postponement; the shoot can go ahead, and postponing it to another day requires an additional fee.
