Cancellation & Date Changes

Light, weather and flight permits in Cappadocia are not always a matter of schedule. This page explains, plainly and flexibly, how requests, planning and date changes work.

Request and reservation
No online payment is taken through the site. The process starts when you send a request; availability and scope are assessed, and the fee and terms are settled after a personalised quote and mutual agreement. A deposit is taken when the reservation is confirmed; the amount is not fixed and is agreed together.

Date changes
Changing a mutually agreed shoot date is coordinated together, subject to calendar availability. The earlier you share a change, the easier it is to find a suitable alternative date.

Weather and balloon cancellations
A cancelled balloon flight does not necessarily mean the photoshoot is cancelled; we can continue without balloons. If the balloon cancellation is known the day before and the shoot has not started, the date can be changed free of charge, subject to calendar availability; if the requested date is not available, another date is considered. If no common date can be found, the payment received, deposit included, is refunded in full. If the balloons are cancelled on the morning of the shoot, after we have finished our preparations and arrived ready to shoot, this does not create a right to free cancellation or free postponement; the shoot can go ahead, and postponing it to another day requires an additional fee. The decision is often made the night before, so please keep your phone reachable.

No-show
If you do not attend the planned shoot and cannot be reached, the shoot cannot take place on that date; a new date is considered together, subject to calendar availability.

Deposit and terms
Fees and terms are set through a personalised quote and mutual agreement; the payment method and timing are settled as part of the quote. We take a deposit when a reservation is confirmed. The amount is not fixed; it is agreed together. The deposit is taken to reserve the date and time of your shoot for you and to avoid accepting another booking for the same time slot. If you cancel the reservation of your own accord, the deposit is not refunded: other requests have been turned away for the time we held, and the cancellation leaves that slot unused. We share this openly so the calendar works fairly for you and for other guests. A separate condition applies to balloon cancellations.

Force majeure
In documented force majeure such as illness, flight cancellation or natural events, the shoot is rescheduled to a suitable date agreed together.
